- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

- 2 cups crushed tortilla chips

Steps
- 1 Preheat oven to 375°F.
- 2 Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- 3 In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, breaking it into crumbles; cook until browned.
- 4 Drain beef and return to skillet. Stir in taco seasoning with 1/2 cup water; simmer for 5 minutes.
- 5 In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour to create a roux. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
- 6 Combine cheese with the roux mixture and stir until melted. Season with garlic powder and chili powder.
- 7 Mix cooked macaroni, beef mixture, and cheese sauce in a large bowl. Stir in sour cream.
- 8 Transfer mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with crushed tortilla chips.
- 9 Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and the top is golden brown.
- 10 Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
