- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 head green cabbage, thinly sliced
- 3 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Steps
- 1 Preheat oven to 375°F.
- 2 In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
- 3 Add ground beef to the skillet, cook until browned, then drain excess fat.
- 4 In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, followed by half of the cabbage.
- 5 Spread the cooked beef mixture over the cabbage.
- 6 In a bowl, mix soup and beef broth. Pour over beef layer.
- 7 Add remaining cabbage and potatoes, seasoning with paprika, black pepper, and salt.
- 8 Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- 9 Remove foil, sprinkle with cheese, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- 10 Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
