- 12 oz frozen cheese tortellini
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and cubed
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan for topping
- Fresh basil for garnish
Steps
- 1 Preheat oven to 375°F.
- 2 Cook tortellini according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
- 3 In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- 4 Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, mozzarella, basil, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes if using. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- 5 Combine cooked tortellini and chicken cubes in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- 6 Pour the creamy sauce over the tortellini and chicken, stirring to combine.
- 7 Sprinkle the top with 1/4 cup grated Parmesan.
- 8 Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
- 9 Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
