- 1 large green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 large red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Steps
- 1 Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
- 2 Add olive oil to the skillet. Once hot, add the sausages and cook until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes.
- 3 Remove sausages and set aside. In the same skillet, add the peppers and onions.
- 4 Season the vegetables with oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Cook until softened and slightly caramelized, about 10 minutes.
- 5 While the vegetables cook, slice the sausages.
- 6 Split the hoagie rolls and lightly toast them if desired.
- 7 Stuff each roll with sliced sausages and the pepper-onion mixture.
- 8 Serve immediately and enjoy!
