Baklava | Pantry Dropper
This easy baklava recipe is a crowd-pleaser that's surprisingly simple to make at home.

- 1 (16 oz) package phyllo dough, thawed
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups chopped nuts (walnuts or pistachios)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup honey
Steps
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 2 In a bowl, mix nuts with cinnamon.
- 3 Brush a 9x13 inch baking dish with melted butter.
- 4 Layer 6 sheets of phyllo dough, brushing each with butter.
- 5 Spread nut mixture over phyllo.
- 6 Layer 6 more sheets of phyllo, brushing each with butter.
- 7 Cut into diamonds or squares before baking.
- 8 Bake for 45 minutes until golden.
- 9 Meanwhile, simmer sugar, water, and honey for 5 minutes to make syrup.
- 10 Pour hot syrup over hot baklava and let cool.
