- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Steps
- 1 Brown the ground beef in a large pot, breaking it into crumbles, and drain excess fat.
- 2 Add the diced onion and bell pepper to the pot, cooking until softened.
- 3 Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- 4 Add the kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.
- 5 Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and let cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- 6 Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
