- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 small burger buns
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Steps
- 1 In a skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving drippings.
- 2 Add onion to the skillet, cooking until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
- 3 In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into 12 small patties.
- 4 Cook patties in a clean skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through, about 3 minutes per side.
- 5 While patties cook, mix mayonnaise and mustard for the spread.
- 6 In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, garlic, vinegar, and water to make the bacon jam. Simmer until thickened.
- 7 Toast buns until golden.
- 8 Assemble sliders with patties, caramelized onions, bacon, and cheese. Spread buns with mayo-mustard mix and top with bacon jam.
