- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese

- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped

- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 slices bacon
Steps
- 1 Preheat oven to 375°F.
- 2 In a large bowl, combine beef, pork, 3/4 cup cheddar, onion, garlic, jalapeño, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently but thoroughly.
- 3 Shape the mixture into a loaf on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- 4 Weave bacon slices around the loaf, covering as much surface as possible.
- 5 Bake for 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- 6 Remove from oven and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup cheddar over the top.
- 7 Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
